Working harder, better, faster  and making it stronger. This is part of the process when creating the ultimate performance. For me passion is incredibly important in life, since I believe there is no real life without real passion. Dedication enables your commitment to perform, the spirit enables to outperform and passion goes beyond your willingness to perform. This is something I have developed during my swimming career as a youth athlete. My ultimate success was achieved by finishing first during the school finals of the National Dutch Championship in Amsterdam (2008). This was a moment I will never forget.

For me, passion is about the big dreams in life. Passion embraces your ambition, and if there is enough passion. Nothing will stop your tracks. Passion is what I have for sports, nature and people. I see sports as the ultimate stage to share passion and to connect people no matter what. Besides sports our planet offers so much more than just what we see. My father in particular showed me the value and essence of nature. Inspiring and leading me through the landscapes and forests when I grew up. My passion for people comes from those who show that it is possible to make a difference.
